The Liberation Library at our Turning Point library is a collection of liberation-oriented books that can often be hard to find in local libraries and bookstores. Developed from our personal book collections and bridging justice-oriented secular and Christian resources, it will hopefully be a valuable resource for activists, movement leaders, pastors, and the local community.

Categories of books include: Dismantling White Supremacy, Resistance, Healing Justice, Disability Justice, Queer Studies, Climate Justice, Lenape publications, Theology (especially feminist, postcolonial, and liberation theologies), Biblical studies (again, especially those from a feminist, postcolonial, and liberation perspective), Spiritual Life, and Celtic Studies

We also have back issues of GEEZ and THE WITNESS magazines.

You can find our catalog at https://tinyurl.com/LiberationLibraryAtKirkridge. Resources may be used in the library or checked out one at a time using the checkout forms located on the library door.

For now, the library is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-5pm, and by appointment (email nicholat [at] kirkridge [dot] org to schedule), or, if you are a retreat guest, arrange a time with Lacey Hunter, the Hospitality and Programs Manager. We hope to have more open hours in the future.
