It’s not pots we are making, it’s ourselves. –M.C. Richards

Take some clay in your hands and listen to your life.  Clay invites our bodies to be more deeply grounded in Earth.  The way it moves and holds shape awakens creativity and invites both play and contemplation. We’ll listen to the wind in the leaves, walk the stoney paths, wonder and create as we reflect on our lives and our place in the family of things.  Along the way we may encounter wonder, grief, gratitude, and a sense of coming home to the land and ourselves.

No need to worry about being an artist or having any previous experience with clay!  We won’t be making finished pieces, more playing and reflecting and enjoying what emerges.  We’ll share poems, songs and stories, have time for silence/journaling, wilderness wandering, walking through neighboring Columcille Megalith Park and Labyrinth, and the shaping of clay (and our lives) as prayer, play and offering.
