As people living in the belly of the imperialist beast, with each day comes news of horrific violence alongside stories of incredible steadfastness. What does our organizing look like in this time? What does our healing look like? What do the mundane realities of our day to day lives mean when the stakes for our movements and communities are so high? In this workshop we will return to the core of what we are fighting for: our relationships to ourselves, each other, and the land. We will look at struggles against genocide throughout time and place to understand our bodies as conduits of resistance and resilience. We will cultivate our capacity for authentic connection, generative conflict and mutual support, while practicing moving from collective grief towards action.

Goals of the retreat:
* Increase participants curiosity about the body and its implications for social movements
* Introduce concept of connections between trauma (particularly intergenerational trauma) with histories of fascism, genocide, and Zionism
* Build embodied resilience to face Zionist repression through political education on what antisemitism is and is not and more broadly disentangling from Zionist propaganda
* Introduce tools for navigating activation internally, in relationship, and in political struggle
* Equip participants to face difficult convos around Zionism and move people
* Co-create a transformative environment through popular education and applied practice
* Offer participants a visceral and embodied experience of the book

NOTE: All our programs are offered on a sliding scale with the option to pay $100 less or $100 more than the listed price, depending on your means. Also, scholarships are available for this event! To inquire, email lydiawk [at] kirkridge [dot] org with the amount you can pay. We will do our best to cover the rest.
