Let’s let church go a little wild! We gather at the beautiful Kirkridge Retreat Center every month, outside, on the first Wednesday, to listen together and in solitude for the voice of the Spirit that speaks through the more-than-human world. Most gatherings involve song, prayer and/or ritual, a time of wandering in the woods and fields and among the rocks, and then a time to share what you heard, if you like (no pressure). We also occasionally incorporate advocacy for the creatures and other ways of connecting with the earth.

Children are always welcome!

And we have a potluck afterward that has been a wonderful way to connect with like-hearted folks.

No RSVP necessary–just come!

This program is offered free of charge, and…we survive on donations, so if you are able to give, you can do that here: https://kirkridge.org/give/

Access notes: We typically gather outside, usually between 100 and 400 feet from the parking lot. If it is raining hard, we will meet inside, often in the beautiful barn, which is free of hay. A variety of different kinds of seating are available. There are all-gender, single-stall bathrooms available in the Farmhouse, usually 100-200 feet away from our service. There will be time for solo wandering at your own pace in the woods and meadows, but you are always welcome to remain seated or take a chair with you. If you have more questions about accessibility, feel free to reach out.

This project is partially supported by Audubon.
