Marissa Metelica

Marissa Metelica is a social equity consultant, cultural strategist, and expert facilitator who focuses on somatic practices, asset-based equity initiatives, and trauma-informed education. With over a decade of experience, Marissa has worked extensively in developing and leading programs that augment cultures of belonging and support groups through generative conflict. Skilled in implementing just and sustainable practices, she has collaborated with nonprofits, educational institutions, and city government, bringing a grounded approach that increases resilience, empathy, and accountability. Additionally, Marissa holds certifications in mediation, somatic group facilitation, and a Masters degree in applied theatre, which she integrates in all her work as a tool for social change.Marissa has served as a core consultant for the Racial Healing Initiative and as the Vice Chair of the Board at Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center. Her theatre for peacebuilding work has taken her to Rwanda, Uganda, and Northern Ireland.
