Beth Maczka, a Vanderbilt Divinity School graduate, centers her studies on Mary Magdalene and why she is absent from much of art and liturgy. She highlights the lack of images depicting this profound passage in Mark 14:9 and the need to commission art that depicts Gospel women in positions of authority, as noted in the Bible.

Ultimately, Beth invites us to celebrate Easter in its fullness, starting with anointing and ending with Mary Magdalene’s proclamation of the Resurrection when she becomes the Apostle to the Apostles.
